Seattle’s Comprehensive Plan update is a once-in-a-decade chance to address our housing crisis, advance equity, and build a more sustainable future. This plan will determine where and how Seattle grows over the next 20 years and has the potential to unlock housing opportunities across the city.
Neighborhood Centers are one of the primary mechanisms by which we can increase density in high-opportunity neighborhoods throughout Seattle. Investing in additional neighborhood centers will allow more people access to groceries, schools, frequent transit, and other important daily amenities within walking distance to their home.
The new neighborhood centers will be located in the following neighborhoods:
- Alki
- Dawson
- Roanoke Park
- Gasworks
- South Wedgwood
- Broadview
- Loyal Heights
- Nickerson-South Canal
We need your voice to ensure the City Council hears loud and clear that Seattleites care about housing affordability and support action to allow more homes throughout the city.
Send a letter today! If you live in or near one of the proposed Neighborhood Centers, make sure to say so and customize the letter to focus on your own neighborhood.
Remind City Council that housing is about people first by telling your own housing story!
