Since its inception, Washington’s foreclosure prevention programs—including the Homeownership Hotline, housing counseling, legal aid, and mediation—have helped over 78,000 homeowners stay in their homes. However, without action from the legislature, these essential services will be drastically reduced when federal funding expires June 30. Without help, struggling homeowners may face displacement, financial ruin, or homelessness.
It is essential that we protect these critical services. Use your voice and ask our state representatives to support Senate Bill 5686, which will sustain Washington’s foreclosure prevention safety net and ensure struggling homeowners can access critical support when they need it most.
